How to get to Órgiva
Once in Órgiva, the best way to meet us is given me a call from town and I need 10 minutes to come down to the village to meet you up and guide you to the cortijo.
Órgiva you can find on any map on the right hand side (east) of the main road which joins Granada and the coast town Motril.
To get to Órgiva from Airport Malaga you take the high way N340 in direction of Almeria ( keep left, do not go direction Granada !) and after about 100 Km , once passing Salobreña, take the main road to Granada ( N323). From there on, because of the building side of the new high way, you get two ways to go ahead and you have to take or one or the other or you can even choose between both.
1st possibility: Go on the new high way and follow the sign posts (Granada/Órgiva).
2nd possibility: After about 22 Km national road N323 , just after the road mark Kilometre 176, (the main road crosses the first time the river and gets the first time two tracks, because it starts going uphill) you take the second ( 2nd ) exit “Velez Benaudalla”, first exit “Las Alpujarras ” , to the right hand, crossing an old bridge. There a signpost says “Órgiva" left.
To get to Órgiva from Granada , just take the high way N323 to Motril a leave exit " Lanjaron/Las Alpujarras" after about 35 Km . From there it takes about 20 minutes driving over a mountain road.
