The genuine cave house accommodation Cortijo El Cura is a very cozy, sheltered and idyllic one-floor Andalusian cottage, in part built into the rock and characterised by its genuine Moorish-style interiors, a paradise-like garden with sumptuous vegetation and majestic views of the surrounding mountains. It’s a bowl of beauty with 2.500sqm organic-certificated groves and grassland. Located in a completely private and secluded property and surrounded by lush vegetation in an authentic Mediterranean subtropical setting, it oozes absolute natural tranquility. The garden is a piece of heaven and contains various orange, avocado, centenarian olive and other Mediterranean fruit trees. There is a playground and a childproof pool area with green lawn all around. This cottage is fully equipped with top quality facilities and will guarantee the perfect relaxing and pleasurable holiday. All rooms have direct access to the large and idyllic terraces which run all along the south-front of the house, partly covered by an ancient vineyard and an ideal spot for sunbathing or simply relaxing, taking in the riveting fragrance of the blossoms and the ever-changing colours of the spectacular mountains beyond. Right beside there is a huge stone-built barbecue. Each guest has their own sun lounger. We attach particular importance to comfort and cleanliness.

EQUIPMENT
Inside you can enjoy a lovely intimate atmosphere within the thick-stone built walls in an authentic traditional southern Spanish style, with a pleasant indoor temperature all year-round. Both bedrooms, particularly the cozy cave-bedroom carved into the rock, are perfect for an enjoyable siesta on a hot summer afternoon and the open fireplace in the living room gives warmth in the winter evenings. In order to get to the cave bedroom you have to pass through the other two person bedroom.
This rural accommodation is tastefully furnished in a refined Andalusian style with traditional clay tiled floors and bright rooms.
Everything is of very good quality and carefully chosen (e.g., high-quality mattresses and bedding, warm duvets depending on the season, large towels, high-quality cutlery and crockery, etc.) and everything you need for a comfortable stay and for a relaxing holiday is provided (e.g., Heating and air-condition, open fireplace, free 50 mbps wifi, Smart TV, a well-equipped kitchen with several coffee machines and well-sharpened kitchen knives, large red wine glasses, wooden garden furniture, French Relax Lafuma garden loungers, barbecues, etc.)

The private swimming pool (4×6.5m plus a shallow part for non swimmers, opens from April to November) and the lawn area surrounding are fenced and completely childproof. The lush garden with abundant green grassland is entirely child-friendly and has a playground, swing and a rocking horse.

MEASURES COVID-19: We attach great importance to the cleaning and disinfection of our holiday homes and also provide disinfectant gel and an authorized disinfectant cleaner for personal use.
Each guest has their own sun lounger for exclusive use.

ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS IN THE AREA
The establishment is located in the heart of the Alpujarra, in the green and exuberant slopes of the southern Sierra Nevada, with its impressive landscapes and temperate and sunny microclimate throughout the year. It will be the perfect opportunity to experience and enjoy the authentic and genuine Alpujarra, away from the crowded tourist places. From the accommodation, you can enjoy wonderful walks through the valley or up to the hills. By car, excursions can be made to the picturesque villages of Barranco del Poqueira or to the snow-capped peaks of Sierra Nevada. The mountain range reaches an altitude of 3,484 m and has hundreds of endemic botanical species and wildlife, beautiful rivers and lagoons with crystal clear waters. The accommodation is just 25 minutes by car from the coast, 40 minutes from Granada and just over an hour to the Sierra Nevada ski resorts.

Blessed with a spectacular climate throughout the year (including winter time), this region has many activities and events: you can ski from late November to April; the olive harvest for our own organic olive oil begins in December; in January the almond trees begin to bloom; in March, Órgiva celebrates its patronal feast; during Easter time there are processions and the Craft Fair; April is the month of orange blossom, filling the valley with its tempting aromas; May is an excellent month for hiking; the Granada fair is in June; July and August vibrate with the happy and lively town festivals; in September you can enjoy the warm waters of the Mediterranean beaches; the Órgiva Fair (harvest festival) occurs in early October and November.

Our reception, concierge and maintenance service is available 24 hours a day.
There we process requests for luggage custody, bookings of activities, restaurants and services, information on business hours, medical appointments, printing tickets and boarding passes, and we will not only answer any questions about the establishment, but we will also give you advice on excursions, walks, restaurants, transport services, parties and events, as well as all the offers and activities in the area, the mountains, the coast and Granada.
We are also available during the day as a janitor and maintenance service to solve minor problems and carry out eventual repair work. We always do this immediately or at the latest within 24 hours by us or by professional staff.

With our experience of more than 20 years living here fascinated by the area, we can offer a lot of information about activities, excursions, beaches and restaurants.

For all kinds of outdoor activities, in water, sea and land, we collaborate with the company Natural-Experience dot es.

We are also happy to arrange car rental from Malaga airport with our partner Cargest, a very efficient company (small, no queues, fast and personal service, no advance petrol flat rate, etc.).

The Alhambra is the largest and best preserved Moorish palace in Europe (Arab-medieval) and one of the most visited monuments in Europe, so it is recommended to book tickets several months in advance.

QUALITY CERTIFICATIONS
Our establishment is a family and legal tourist business that is registered and supervised by the competent Tourism Authority, which guarantees the highest standards of safety, hygiene and quality. We also have the official Andalusian seal of AGROCOLOR as an organic farm.

INFORMATION ABOUT WHAT THE PRICE INCLUDES
For accommodation, our indicated rates refer to the use of all the spaces of the tourist establishment (tourist accommodation, garden, swimming pool and parking) for 4 adults.
Any additional bed is charged € 10 per person / night, children under 12 are free.
The rate includes all the usual services of a tourist / hotel accommodation such as Wi-Fi, gas, electricity and firewood, all prepared, with sheets and duvet covers, with brand new cloths, sponges and kitchen towels, soap, shampoo, toilet paper , disinfectant gel and spray, candles and matches, dishwasher, detergent, as well as a pantry with the essentials. The accommodation will be cleaned with a minimum weekly frequency, likewise the bed linen and towels (facial, bath, pool) will be changed with a minimum weekly frequency.

Our welcome service includes the following:
Disinfection and extra cleaning of all dishes and kitchen utensils.
Upon request, a personal reception at the accommodation or at a meeting point in town as well as a presentation of the accommodation.
A bottle of organic wine and a bowl of fruit.

You can order a grocery shopping service for a fee of € 20 so that it will be ready in the house when you arrive.

We provide high chairs and cots free of charge.
The price already includes 10% VAT and house insurance and civil liability.
The entrance is from 2:00 p.m. and departure before 11:00, hours except special agreements.
The changeover day is Saturday during the summer season (early July to late August). The rest of the year we can be flexible.

We admit pets on request and without additional charges, with the only condition of being careful with things and furniture and that they do not get on the bed and sofa. They can be loose in the tourist establishment at their own pace as long as they are well educated, because they will have to live with other dogs and other people. We charge € 15 extra cleaning and we reserve the possibility of requesting a deposit of € 150 upon entry, in cash, which we will refund upon departure. In no case can we admit dogs of breeds considered dangerous.
