Caserio El Olivo is a very spacious penthouse apartment over the entire top floor of a large Andalusian country house set in absolute natural tranquility. This is located in a lush and beautiful property surrounded by nature in an authentic Mediterranean setting. The whole property is 3000 sqm and is organic-certificated. The garden contains various orange, avocado and centenarian olive trees and many other Mediterranean fruit trees. The property is only 1km away from town (10-15 minutes walking distance) but it still provides with all the quietness and tranquility of pure nature to make your holiday as pleasant and relaxing as possible. The apartment Caserio El Olivo is also characterised by its large and bright interiors, especially the wide and open living room and the bright spacious bedrooms – which have one bathroom attached to each. Both bedrooms and the living room have direct access to a huge and beautiful sunny terrace with great views over the garden, the valley and the mountains.

EQUIPMENT
Everything is tastefully decorated, fully and well-furnished and very well equipped. The house contains all you need (for example, sharp kitchen knives, large red wine glasses, high quality mattresses, bed linens and towels). The shared saline-swimming pool produces a natural alternative to chlorine; it is 9 x 4m and incorporates a shallow toddler section. The pool is situated within a lawned garden and is surrounded by a child-safety wooden fence. These precautions will certainly guarantee a restful, fun and relaxing holiday for the whole family.
I live in the lower ground floor and I will take into account the peace and privacy of our guests. I will also be totally available to help out with any queries, suggestions, ideas and touristic information when necessary. In the lower part there is a small studio as well, which is also for rent. This gives the option to rent the studio and the penthouse all together for more than 4 travelers. The property also houses another small holiday home, on the other end of the land, which is also for rent.
The pool area and the playground area are shared by all holiday properties on the land. And all do have their own terrace, garden and barbecue.

SURROUNDINGS AND ACTIVITIES
The property is located in the heart of the Alpujarra, the green and lush south slopes of Sierra Nevada with its breathtaking landscapes and mild and sunny microclimate all year round.
You will have the perfect opportunity to experience and enjoy the authentic and genuine Andalucía intimately, away from the busy tourist spots. Straight from the house, you can enjoy wonderful walks through the valley or up to the hills.

By car, you can have amazing excursions to the high part of the ‘Las Alpujarras’ with its white and picturesque mountain villages and do hikes into the canyons, visit small wine presses and wine cellars or clime the snow-covered peaks of Sierra Nevada. The mountain chain reaches an altitude of 3484m and is replete with a unique wildlife, beautiful rivers and pristine lagoons. The house is only 25 minutes driving distance to the coast, 40 minutes to Granada (one of the most beautiful and lively historic and cultural cities in the world) and little over than one hour to Sierra Nevada ski resorts.

Day trips can include beautiful destinations such as Cordoba, Ronda or Seville, or National Parks like Sierra de Grazalema, Sierra de Cazorla and Cabo de Gata.

Blessed with gorgeous sunny weather all year round (including winter time), this region will give you an endless variety of activities and events and whatever the season is, the region remains lively and vibrant with enjoyable activities. All over the year and across the whole region (mountains and coast), restaurants, cafes and beach bars by the sea are open and all over the year you will be able to experience our gorgeous gastronomical culture and the Andalusian lifestyle.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Over the winter season the house will be heated up with 24 hours in advance to offer a warm and comfortable ambient right from the first day on.

Our reception and concierge service is available 24h a day to answer all your questions, accept requests for room and breakfast service, provide travel advices, make reservations or print tickets and boarding passes.

In the house you will find as well a very comprehensive and detailed tourist information brochure where we give interesting knowledge about the house and what to do in the area and we are happy to share our experience gathered here over 20 years and offer you practical currant tips on activities, hikes, beaches, restaurants, cultural events, ticket reservations etc. so to make it easy to experience the authentic Andalusian culture.
In addition, we can organise and facilitate flamenco classes, cooking courses, riding tours, alpine hiking tours and ski days.

We can arrange car hire from Malaga Airport with a very efficient car rental company with excellent services (small company, no queuing, quick and personalized service, no pre-charged petrol, etc.). The service refers to a new air conditioned car with full comprehensive insurance without any excess for two named drivers.

While staying with us, a visit to the Alhambra in Granada is an absolute must. The Alhambra is Europe’s largest and best preserved Moorish (Arabic-Medieval) palace and fortress-building, with unimaginable beauty and refinement. As it is also one of Europe’s most visited monuments.
To visit the Alhambra Palaces we recommend booking tickets ideally with a few months´ notices in advance on the website of the official ticket seller.

STANDARDS
Our property is a lawful family-tourism business which is registered and monitored by the Spanish Tourism Authority “Consejería de Turismo y Deporte” and guarantees the highest standards for equipment, safety, hygiene and general quality. It also has the official Andalusian seal AGROCOLOR as an organic olive and orange farm.
We have over 20 years of experience as landlords and the continuous improvement of the houses will guarantee our guests a thoroughly smooth and relaxing holiday. This can be confirmed by the excellent feedback left by our wonderful guests (please check our reviews).

PRICING INFORMATION
Our quoted prices refer to the entire estate – house, garden and pool – for up to 4 adults. Any extra bedding is charged 10€ per person/day. But extra bedding for children fewer than 12 is free.
It includes all utilities such as Wi-Fi, gas, electricity, firewood, a pantry with the essentials (our home made organic olive oil, spices, vinegar, sugar, coffee, tea, cocoa/hot chocolate, dish soap, laundry detergent, toilet paper, candles and matches etc. which will be all refilled anytime it is necessary).
It includes also the final cleaning of our professional cleaning staff and the complete welcome service set which contains the following:
-Clean and complete finished coated duvet covers and linen set of high quality bedding, bed rugs, towels (hand/facial, bathing, pool/beach – replaced once a week), Kitchen towels, new sponge, dishcloths, set soap and shampoo.
-A welcome food pack for a first snack, dinner or breakfast with bread, butter, cheese, eggs, olives, yogurt, tomato, lettuce, cucumber, spaghetti, canned tomato, milk, water, juice, beer, a bottle of organic wine and a generous fruit bowl.
-Personalized receptions at the property or at a meeting point in the village with guiding and the introduction to the property.

We provide high chairs and cots with full bedding for free.
The price includes 10% VAT and a house insurance including liability.
Over low season we can offer on bookings of several weeks’ interesting discounts. We can also offer special rates for last minutes bookings.

Changeover day is on Saturdays during July and August. The rest of the year we can be flexible and arrange for a different day of the week.
Check in is from 2pm onwards, check out before 11am or according to arrangement.
